SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

Our client in the IT industry is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team.

*Duties and Responsibilities:

*Design it: ensure that everything is designed not just for now but for the scale over years of growth to come.
*Analyse it: lead the analysis and design of solutions of significant complexity with the right consideration for technology, infrastructure, security, performance, and high availability.
*Build it: deliver great automation solutions that are proven to meet the need of the Developers, Traders as well as your colleagues in Support and Operations.
*Test it: be accountable for your own testing and for the overall quality of your output you’ll make sure testing happens fast, frequently and effectively.
*Run it: check that everything is working as expected and go hunting for problems to solve, to improve the solution constantly.
*Document Everything: make sure we have top class and up to date technical and use case documentation.
*Mentor and coach: support and help onboard and train the less experienced members of the teams.
*Collaborate: engage with other teams and users across the company to identify ways to improve and build upon the capabilities of the Platform.

Key Skills
*Practical knowledge of at least one programming language.
*In-depth understanding of development process and software life cycle.
*In-depth knowledge of the Cloud patterns and anti-patterns with hands-on.
*Expert level understanding of Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, automation in Ansible and Terraform.
*At least two years working with messaging technologies RabbitMQ and Kafka.
*Strong experience working with both RDBMS and NoSQL technologies is essential. Preferably with MS SQL Server.
*Deep understanding of Windows and Linux environments.
*Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and ideally Python.
*Strong focus on security, performance, and efficiency.
*Experience working with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) would be a real plus.
*Ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and to pick up new skill sets quickly.A passion for detail and problem solving, with excellent verbal and
