Senior Debtors Controller (3 Month Contract) Centurion

POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS:

ØA Grade 12 Certificate with Accounting or Mathematics.

ØDiploma or equivalent qualification in Finance will be an added advantage.

ØPastel Evolution or Sage Evolution.

ØPrevious experience managing others.

ØInterpersonal and communication skills.

ØAnalytical skills.

ØAbility to give attention to detail.

ØHigh level of responsibility.

ØAbility to work under pressure.

Ø

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ØProcess accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.

ØPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.

ØPrepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.

ØReconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

ØVerify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.

ØFacilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.

ØGenerate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status requirements.

ØProven working experience as Accounts Receivable Clerk, Accounts Receivable Manager or accountant.

ØSolid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.

ØProven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.

ØData entry skills along with a knack for numbers.

ØHands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (JDE).

ØProficiency in English and in MS Office.

ØCustomer service orientation and negotiation skills.

ØHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
