Senior Debtors Clerk

SUMMARY:
A well-known international Internet Supplier requires the above to join their team supporting the Financial Manager with the full debtors function within their Company.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

• Previous experience having worked in a Debtors role with a strong knowledge of the full debtors function is essential.
• Previous experience having worked for an Internet Provider or related industry is essential.
• The successful candidate must have Excel experience with a good understanding of pivot tables.
• Previous experience having worked on Pastel or on QuickBooks or related is preferred.
• The successful candidate must be confident to speak to Clients and answer queries as well as be able to handle and liaise with all Clients internationally and locally.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Supporting the Financial Manager with all debtors responsibilities within the Company.
• Maintaining the billing system and generating post billings.
• Managing and handling all new Client creations.
• Managing and driving credit checks.
• Sending invoices, statements and credit notes.
• Communicating effectively with different internal departments to ensure correct billing.
• Performing account reconciliations and maintaining age analysis.
• Maintaining accounts receivable files and records.
• Investigating and resolving irregularities.
• Liaising with Clients, handling and resolving billing queries.
• Working with Creditors to verify Supplier billing against Client on billing.
• Receiving, responding to and processing service and product cancellations.
• Maintaining and updating all applicable internal portals.
