SUMMARY:
Join a reputable accounting firm as a Senior Debtors Clerk, where you will be instrumental in overseeing and managing the firm’s debtor’s portfolio. In this role, you will ensure accurate billing, timely collections, and the integrity of client accounts, while maintaining a well-managed and up-to-date debtor’s book. You will work closely with partners, managers, and clients to support strong cash flow, ensure compliance with firm policies, and deliver a consistently high level of client service.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Generating sales invoices and credit notes and processing customer payments in compliance with company policies and procedures
Responding to customer and business queries in a timely and effective manner
Producing customer statements and assisting customers with statement reconciliation queries
Managing collections activities to ensure the timely collection of outstanding amounts
Posting and allocating customer payments to accounts accurately and efficiently
Setting up, maintaining, and closing client jobs
Maintaining an understanding of compliance requirements relating to transactional tax accounting
Documenting processes during initial knowledge transfer using standard templates
Performing process controls during transactional processing
Maintaining customer master file records in line with business requirements for new and existing customers
Supporting other team members as needed to ensure the continued success of the finance function
Identifying and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and controls

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
German Speaking

Qualification:

Matric, diploma or similar plus experience
