Senior Data Scientist Role - Manchester
A Senior Data Scientist is needed to join a Consultancy in the South Manchester area, as they look to grow their data & analytics team for taking on some huge projects in 2021.
This role offers the chance to progress your career in data science as you deal with a variety of fast-moving clients from all over the UK.
You will be utilising their exciting technology to solve some unique data challenges where you can show your ability in delivering solutions and thinking creatively. This means working with the company''s internal data model built from a multitude of data sources, so not only will you be using their internal data, but also large data sets to help create new products for your customers!
Main Responsibilities:
- Creating and implementing algorithms to meet your client requirements
- Building and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders throughout the business, both internal and external
- Represent the company when meeting external partners
- Develop your understanding of the company''s data sets to solve your client''s data challenges
- Deliver on solutions by exploring and analysing both internal and the client''s own data to create new insights for projects, whilst working alongside different business partners.
Requirements:
- Academic background (PHD, MSc or BSc) in disciplines such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning and others
- Passionate about complex problem solving using big data sets, as part of a team or individually
- Sound understanding of Machine Learning, NLP and statistical modelling.
- Programming experience, ideally Python or R
- Great communication skills, with the ability to explain work to non-technical stakeholders
