Our client is urgently looking to employ a Senior DTP Operator at their organization

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Location: Sandton Gauteng

Requirements:

Matric
10 to 15 years in layout and typesetting
10 years + in the financial reporting industry
Adobe Creative Suite with a focus on InDesign and Wdesk
Adobe Creative Suite (senior)
To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of typesetting, styles, and layout techniques. You should also have experience working on design jobs from conception to production
Wdesk (senior)
MS Office Suite (med to senior)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for translating a brief to art files ready to go to print or be placed online.

Wdesk styles – Creating styles and styling in Wdesk and mapping it into InDesign.
Wdesk linking of jobs – Relinking of jobs, design/styling in Wdesk that the file is mirrored to InDesign file.
Setup up the shell by using specific elements to create a shell representing the components of the final product.
Incorporate content into the shell by paying attention to flow, styling, and design, and be disciplined with stylesheets and table styles to keep consistency when sharing a job.
Ensure the product is checked with updates and corrections to client specifications.
Use finished Art as a design and complete the quality control check pertaining to content flow, alignment, colour specs, bleeds, cover make-up, paging and technical quality.
Manage digital collateral by adapting, manipulating, cleaning, rescaling, retouching, layout, reformating and converting to HTML.
Manage graphs by obtaining graph visuals and information, and checking design requirements, colours and styling.
