SUMMARY:
Blue-chip concern based in the North has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Credit and Risk Analyst. Previous experience is Asset Rentals and financing essential. Relevant B.Com qualification.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The role is primarily to manage the credit risk in the Assent Rentals department while ensuring service to clients. The role would suit a mathematically sound individual with outstanding communication and inter-personal skills. Professionalism plays a key role in this position. Previous financial services experience essential.

Responsibilities & duties

Managing and co-ordinating the credit approval process to ensure that risks are mitigated in line with credit policies
Ensuring targets are achieved in line with budgets
Identification of deals that meet approval criteria through financial and credit analysis
Quality, detailed, accurate and methodical credit risk assessment, and risk identification
Understanding the commercial rational for deals and pricing according to risk parameters
Accurate and timeous preparation and submission of credit applications to the credit committee
Liaising and answering any queries from the credit committee
Liaising and feedback to dealerships on application in the credit process
Effectively concluding and replying to all dealer queries
Preparation of approval schedules
Preparation of up-to-date reporting of status of approved deals
Ensuring deal packs comply to credit policies and overall governance
Portfolio balancing and management
Ongoing refinement of the credit process
Credit Reporting

Essential qualifications

B.com degree essential (or equivalent financial qualification)

Essential experience

Experience in a similar role.
2-5 years’ experience in credit management / finance / accounting
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Strong Excel Skills
