SUMMARY:
An Education and Training Institution is looking for a Senior Copywriter with extensive experience in copywriting to join the Marketing Team. The successful candidate will assist the business with professional writing, editing, and proofreading, and will report to the Head of Marketing.

POSITION INFO:
Qualification & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in communications/journalism/English or related Degree or Diploma.
Five years of copywriting experience.
Ability to translate from English to Afrikaans, and vice versa.
Impeccable writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Computer literate.
Valid driver’s license with own vehicle

Key Responsibilities

Write copy and create content for various platforms, including marketing campaigns, social media, internal and external communications, website content, blog articles, etc.
Improve readability and clarity of all communication and marketing material.
Be a custodian of the language style guide and tone of voice of the company.
Proofread copy to ensure that all copy is grammatically correct.
Translate English copy to Afrikaans and vice versa if required.
Keep up to date with the latest copywriting trends and techniques.
Participate in setting marketing plans and strategies.
Ad-hoc support to management and the rest of the business.
