The Role: Senior Conveyancer

The purpose of this role is to manage the Johannesburg department, which consists of Complex Lending, Commercial Property Finance Bonds and Cancellations, Standard Bank Legal Cancellations, and the Correspondents Department. The successful candidate will run the department independently, allowing the manager to split their time and support the Pretoria team.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage a minimum of 7 years of post-qualification/post-admission experience in bond registrations to manage the department.

• Manage the department independently, including complex lending, commercial property finance bonds, cancellations, Standard Bank legal cancellations, and the correspondents department.

• Sign clients both in and out of the office.

• Manage the Johannesburg office setup to ensure operational efficiency.

• Handle complex commercial and financial lending and bonds.

• Meet strict deadlines within a high-pressure environment.

About You

• Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification/post-admission experience, specifically in bond registrations.

• Mastery of the basics, including bonds, company structures, and trusts, to hit the ground running with zero hand-holding.

• Excellent attention to detail.

• Strong work ethic and willingness to put in the necessary hours to get the job done.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively deal with personnel and very demanding clients.
