Senior Control Room Operator

SUMMARY:
Our prestigious client in the Mining Industry has an opportunity available for a Senior Control Room Operator in the Burgersfort area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate with Maths & Science is essential
• Minimum of 4-6 years working experience in processing plant environment is essential
• Relevant experience in a Senior Control Room within a plant environment is essential
• Computer literate (MS Office Package) is essential
• A valid medical Certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate
• Must have plant operating skills
• Must have monitoring and controlling skills
• Must have supervising skills

KPAs:

• Communication of the status of the plant from the control room to co-workers
• Analysing data, trends and making suggestions to co-workers in the field
• To monitor and control the plant, equipment operations and processes to ensure that other team members are aware of critical information
• To apply preventive and or remedial action in accordance with operating procedures and plant conditions
• To conduct shift handover and hand over activities to ensure safe and continuous operation in a processing environment
• To work and interpret technologically advanced instrumentations and computer systems
• To interpret, record and report minerals processing data obtained from visual inspections and complete reports and log sheets
• To monitor operational data and proactively take action to prevent process deviations
