Senior Consultant: Risk Advisory Services

Duties:
Managing and participating in process focused internal audit and risk advisory projects.
 Perform end-to-end audit activities, including planning, execution, and reporting, for financial and
operational audits and reviews of various organisational and functional activities including internal
accounting and operational controls.
 Perform Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) audits
 Identify issues and root cause, risk assess impact, and propose value-add recommendations to
Remediate related risks.
 Articulate and present audit findings/audit related topics to clients.
 Working effectively as a team member - sharing responsibility, developing and coaching junior staff,
delegating to a team, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team
members on progress.
 Collating observations, determining and agreeing resolutions and reporting on these for clients and
other stakeholders.

Requirements:
B.Compt Honours / Bcom Honours in Internal Auditing/ B.Com Honours in Information Systems
 One of more of the following qualifications:
o Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
o Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
 A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in the following areas:
 Internal audit including compliance reviews.
 Proficient in internal audit standards and internal control and risk management frameworks
 Able to identify and articulate principles that can underpin effective governance.
 Understanding of processes, risks and controls
 Business process mapping
 Risk identification assessment, mitigation and remediation.
 Experience in supervising end-to-end engagements.
 Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
 IT general and application control reviews.
 Proficient in data privacy regulations such as GDPR and POPIA.
 Enterprise and fraud risk assessments.


 Developing and maintaining productive working relationships with client personnel
