Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper Paarden Eiland Cape Town

Our Retail Importer of goods and reseller client is looking for an experienced Accountant / Senior Bookkeeper with 5 years’ experience in Paarden Eiland Cape Town, overseeing the financial department, all financial accounting, a bookkeeper, management accounts, stock and invoicing control, GL Accounts, All recons shipping financial administration cost.

Bookkeeping to Balance Sheet – PASTEL PARTNER & Online Business Banking

Staff Management – Managing the Bookkeeper

Create and manage Management Accounts

Manage Cash Flow

Reconcile overseas supplier accounts.

Responsibilities

Accounting up to Balance Sheet – Pastel& SAGE

GL - Reconcile and Balance general ledger accounts and cash books monthly.

Payroll is outsourced to HR Company, obviously only GL & MA of these expenses  

Report on Month end finances

Manage Bank accounts

Process Weekly and Monthly payments on Online Business Banking

Stock Management and Control – Bookkeeper is currently doing this

Ensure that all customer accounts reconcile monthly and that all invoices and statements are sent out timeously and that all outstanding invoices are dealt with immediately.

Reconcile overseas supplier accounts and arrange payments.

Debtors / Creditors – Small scales

Ensure that all suppliers account reconcile monthly and that all queries are dealt with so that payments may be made on time.

Preparation of monthly management accounts and meet monthly with Director to discuss.

Prepare for and assist with annual audits.

Administer and manage bookkeeper that does Shipping and landing cost (Not a frequent duties something one can learn)
