SUMMARY:
My client is looking for a Senior Bookkeeper in Johannesburg. Temp position. Must be available immediately

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Between 27 – 39 years

Matric / B-Com

Available immediately

SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Pastel Evolution “must”

- Advance Excel “must”

- Cashbook experience “must”

- Completed articles “Added advantage”

- Stock experience “must”

- Payroll experience “Added advantage”

- Fast learner “must”

- Ability to work independent in fast past environment “must”

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

-Client and vendor payment approvals and allocations

-Ensuring SARS, Bank and any other documentation required is completed in order to efficiently run the business (e.g. Bank guarantees)

-Stock reconciliations

-Cashbook reconciliations

-Journal entries and reconciliations

-General ledger reconciliations

- Fixed Asset control

-Creating and processing of Purchase Orders, Stock receipts, Picking Slips, Invoices, Returns and other documents required.

- Policies and Procedures Administration and implementation

- Monthly full stock takes

- Trial Balance & management accounts reporting

- Ensuring all personnel that are assigned duties fulfil them accurately and quickly with form timelines given.

- Daily processing of all cashbooks

- Debtors and creditors reconciliations

- Manage debtors’ collections

- Creditors payments

- Timorous completion of all reconciliations and payments

- Notify suppliers of FEC’s booked

- Prepare and maintain trial balance and balance sheets

- Prepare control and maintain asset register

- Report variances of financials and do the necessary to rectify them

- Controlling and verifying the GP %

- Calculate commissions for sales representatives

- Should have good oral and written communication skills.

- Ability to efficiently lead, delegate and motivate subordinates.

- Ability to work on multiple companies
