SUMMARY:
Westmead. Opportunity exists for meticulous, analytical, and strong business minded Senior Bookkeeper with a minimum of 5 years practical Bookkeeping experience to join a fast-growing corporate business. Sage One Accounting, Pastel Payroll, and experience in MS Excel and MS Word is essential.

POSITION INFO:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Creditors Control:

Management and administration of all aspects of Creditors including credit management, risk management, preparation of all creditor’s reconciliations, monitoring and controlling the timeous payments to creditors, processing all creditors invoices (both local and international), performing monthly creditor reconciliation, cashbook management and bank reconciliation, processing of cheque and EFT requisitions, and following up with queries.

Perform procurement controls, capturing supplier invoices, controlling outgoing payments, supplier reconciliation, and global payment submissions.

Balancing inter-company creditor recons and balancing of inter-branch loan accounts and other general ledger recons, managing incoming finance, petty cash, and COD reconciliations, and updating the fixed assets.

Debtors Control:

Collections, debtors’ reconciliation, payment allocation, banking of all monies received, and assisting Debtors Clerk when needed.

Payroll Control:

Processing time and attendance on Uniclox, control and monitoring of staff advance accounts, payment and control of staff claims, processing monthly and weekly payroll on Sage Payroll, and completing UIF registrations and UIF TERS benefits.

Requirements:

Matric
Previous experience working with big accounts advantageous
Previous experience with internet banking
Strong business mind to handle approximately 500 suppliers in the Eastern Cape and KZN branches
