SUMMARY:

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced bookkeeping professional who enjoys taking ownership of the full accounting function across multiple entities. Reporting into the finance team, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, managing reconciliations, and supporting reporting and month-end activities.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

Oversee the full bookkeeping and accounting cycle across multiple entities
Prepare and process journals, financial reports, and month-end close activities
Review and maintain reconciliations, including bank, creditor, debtor, petty cash, and balance sheet reconciliations
Manage stock reconciliations, stock-related accounting entries, and costing processes
Ensure compliance with VAT, payroll taxes, and other statutory submissions
Assist with foreign payments, import-related transactions, and associated financial administration
Maintain fixed asset registers and process related accounting transactions
Perform intercompany reconciliations and support accurate financial reporting across entities
Prepare management accounts, audit schedules, and supporting documentation for external audits
Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and investment accounts to ensure effective cash management
Provide support across finance functions when operational requirements arise
Ensure strong financial controls and compliance processes are maintained at all times

Skills & Experience:

Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping experience
Strong technical accounting and reconciliation skills
Experience managing multiple entities will be advantageous
Sound understanding of statutory and tax compliance requirements
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables
Comfortable operating in a deadline-driven environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Qualification:

BCom Accounting, Advanced Diploma in Accounting, or related finance qualification
Minimum 5 years of relevant bookkeeping experience
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
