SUMMARY:
Opportunity for a Senior Automation Technician to join Manufacturing company in Western Cape. Our client specialises in the weaving and impregnation of glass fiber rovings and yarns with phenolic resins by using the lates technologies to manufacture high tech scrims which are used as reinforcement in cutting and grinding wheels.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of Role:

Perform upgrades to existing machines / systems’
Assist with design, costing and implementation of new machines / upgrades
Manage projects – Concept, Design, Cost, Implementation, Documentation & Handover to production

Job Experience:

Min 3 – 5 years’ experience in Manufacturing industry
National Diploma / Electrical / Mechatronics / Electronics
Relevant experience working with VFD and PLC equipment
Knowledge of Delta PLC and VFD’s

Skills Required:

Electrical fault finding
Ability to read and draw circuit diagrams
Read / interpret technical user manuals
Software and programming knowledge
Mechanical understanding of machines
Understanding of pneumatics
