A leading chemical manufacturing company in Kempton Park has an excellent career opportunity for a suitably qualified Senior Accounts Receiver Specialist.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the job

The Senior Accounts Receiver Specialist reports to the Credit Control Manager and is mainly responsible for the implementation of all debtors and credit control processes. This is to ensure that all monies owed to company are received from debtors within set timeframes. The incumbent will also be overall responsible for capturing and processing relevant financial information and journals, and receive documents from respective areas to prepare Applications for Credit limits

Lastly, the role focuses on implementing controls mechanisms to manage and project risk, alerting users to activate, seek approval on specific debt recovery sequences and assess and manage hand over of bad debt to attorneys.

The incumbent will also maintain and comply to systems, policies, processes and procedures are in place within this unit and maintained in order to effectively identify and manage risk, prevent fraud and ensure compliance to legislative, regulatory and good governance requirements and practices.

Experience

6 - 8 years Credit Control experience in a corporate environment and exposure to Risk analysis
Matric
- Relevant Financial qualification (National Diploma or B Com).
  - Knowledge of financial systems and procedures
  - Financial management system
  - Computer literacy
  - Company policies, procedures and standards
  - Relevant financial legislation and regulations, i.e. IFRS standards
  - Knowledge of ISO Standards
  - Financial Accountancy knowledge
  - Cost control
  - Risk understanding and identification
  - Inventory accounting
    - Journals
    - Must be able to obtain a satisfactory medical report from the companies’ medical centre.
