Senior Accountant (Musina)

SUMMARY:
Our client requires a SAIPA qualified Professional Accountant (resident of Musina or Gauteng based, but prepared to travel to Musina every 2nd week). To assist with preparation of the monthly management reports, annual year end trial balance for the compilation of the financial statements as well as general corporate accounting issues in order to ensure integrity of financial data.

POSITION INFO:

REQUIREMENTS

5 years work-related skill, knowledge and experience.

3 years Debtors and Creditors experience.

Experience in foreign, Import and Export transactions will be an advantage.

SARS submission of VAT201’s; EMP201, EMP501’s.

Annual and provisional Income tax calculation as well as SARS submission.

Pastel Evolution and/or Xero experience.

ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

Proficiency in financial accounting & reporting, including external statutory reporting and audit.

Working knowledge of data entry management.

Sound knowledge of;

• South African VAT and Income Tax

• International Financial Reporting Standards

Understanding of financial implications for deadlines not being met.

An understanding of month end procedures – the absolute importance to keep all reports / queries clean.

Strong accounting principles and regulations knowledge.

Ability to understand software system flow.

Advanced skills in Excel.
