SUMMARY:
Senior Accountant / Junior Financial Manager required to manage the finance team for a global company.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team (4 staff)
Operations schedule reconciliations
Working with Operations team to ensure congruency between ops and finance
Facilitating debtors meetings (within finance team)
Perform month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare month end (management report pack) and year end reports
Report on accounting discrepancies
Analyse current accounting systems, making suggestions for enhancements where needed
Liaise with external auditors
Prepare and submit statutory returns (such as VAT)
Manage tax payments
Examine and analyse financial information
Present findings (written and verbal) to senior management
Cash flow management
Banking function (payment processing, foreign receipts and payments facilitation etc)

Required skills:

Ideally completed articles, and a year + in a commercial environment
Pastel
Excel skills
One drive

ideally done articles (small accounting firm; not qualified) , and a year + in a commercial environment
