Senior Accountant (JB1945)

Fourways, Johannesburg

R30 000.00 per month, CTC

Duration: Permanent

Overview

A growing entertainment company is expanding and looking for a Senior Accountant with completed Articles to join their team!! You will be responsible for managing the processing of accounting records, reporting, legislative compliance and HR processing.

Minimum Requirements:

BCom Accounting and completed Articles

Accounts Management experience

Extensive knowledge of Legislative Compliance

Duties and Responsibilities:

Initiating the processing of information via import files from the bank statements

Perform bank reconciliations for all relevant bank accounts

Keeping of an accurate fixed asset register

Processing of all supplier invoices and journals

Processing of all monthâ€end journals – salary journals, provisions, accruals etc.

Reconcile creditors statements

Reconcile all Balance Sheet Accounts

Ability to record books from insufficient records

Formulate accounting policies

Compiling and discussing of monthly management accounts

Ensure that all intercompany loan accounts and invoicing balances at the end of each month

Oversee the following to ensure timeous reporting to the Directors:

Daily cash up reconciliations

Compiling daily summary of cash up reconciliation

Biâ€Weekly reporting on performance of company

Ensure all legislative compliance – COIDA, UIF, SARS, GBB, Labour Department

Prepare and submit all electronic banking transfers timeously for all suppliers to ensure all

accounts are up to date and current

Safekeeping of all records and documents electronically

Work independently

All additional adâ€hoc tasks as instructed by financial manager or directors

All HR related matters to be performed with regards to:

Processing Salaries

Adding employees

Terminating employees

Have accurate leave records for all staff

Monitor and assist with all notices and hearings
