Senior Accountant

SUMMARY:
A retail conglomerate boasting with a national footprint seeks a highly talented and innovative Senior Accountant to join their finance team based in Cape Town, Northern Suburbs. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of financial activity within the group's retail operations.

A retail conglomerate boasting with a national footprint seeks a highly talented and innovative Senior Accountant to join their finance team based in Cape Town, Northern Suburbs.

In this role, you will be responsible for the management of financial activity within the group''s retail operations.

Duties include but not limited to:

Daily, weekly, monthly & annual entries and journals

Income Statement & Balance Sheet reconciliations

Stock reconciliations

Monthly and annual accruals

Monthly and annual Insurance reviews and schedules

Fixed asset registers

Petty Cash reconciliations

VAT reconciliations, submissions and payments

Monthly payroll schedules, reconciliations and payments

Preparation of monthly Management Reports

Cash Flow forecasting assistance

Assist with budget preparation

Assist with stock take procedures

Taxation calculations (Income, Provisional & Deferred) and submissions to SARS

Assist with developing business processes and internal controls to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Education:

BCom in finance or accounting

Skills & Experience:

Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles is non-negotiable

5 to 6 years'' experience within the retail or FMCG industry is non-negotiable

Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Pastel Evolution and Payroll knowledge

Financial acumen

 to Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
