A well-established accounting practice seeks an experienced to join their finance team based in the Overberg region, Western Cape.

A well-established accounting practice seeks an experienced to join their finance team based in the Overberg region, Western Cape.

Duties include, but not limited to

General accounting tasks, reporting to the partner

Preparing annual financial statements

Examine, analyse, and interpret accounting records

Responsible for calculating VAT, PAYE

Preparation of monthly management accounts

Assisting in general accounting and payroll related duties for clients

Liaising directly with clients to source new work for the accounting department

Education:

BCom in Accounting or equivalent

Skills & Experience:

Completed SAICA / SAIPA articles is a non-negotiable

Knowledge of Draftworx / CaseWare

Knowledge of VIP Payroll (beneficial)

Knowledge of Pastel accounting software

Technical ability (IFRS, Companies Act, International Standards of Auditing, Tax)

Traveling to clients will be expected

Overtime will be required from time to time to meet client deadlines

Advanced MS Excel skills

Sound knowledge and understanding og related financial legislation and processes

Financial acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Team player
