SUMMARY:
Senior Accountant with Buildsmart experience

POSITION INFO:

Based in the Midrand region, the successful applicant will be required to process and prepare various financial / accounting documents as well as reports and financial month-end reporting, within an engineering contracting environment.

Experience and Qualifications required:

• Grade 12.
• BCom with articles advantage
• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience.
• SAIPA/CIMA membership will be advantageous.
• Experience in Forex Accounting and Cross Boarder Accounting is highly advantageous.
• Experience with Buildsmart.
• Proficiency / Interest / Knowledge / Experience with Technological Integration into Accounting.
• Attention to detail.
• Accuracy.
• Deadline-orientated and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent Excel experience and skills.
• Adaptability and flexibility in hours of work.
• Hands on individual willing to accept accountability and responsibility.
• Good communication skills.
• Knowledge of Income Tax Act.
• Well organised, methodical and analytical approach to accounting and standards.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• South African citizen.
• Own transport

Duties:

• Accurate Company cost and revenue analysis.
• Review and sign off debtors, creditors, bank reconciliations on time.
• Authorizing and releasing cash payments.
• Review and reconciliation of VAT and import VAT account.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations accurately.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Preparation of tax computations.
• Preparation of all SARS income tax returns.
• Assisting of IFRS compliant annual financial statements.
• Cross boarder payments.
• Accuracy and efficiency of performing above functions in time.
• Manage and control subordinates effectively and productively.
• Support the monthly Financial Reporting.
• Assist with statutory reporting.
• Compile and process journals.
• Full Financial Management responsibility for foreign entities / operations.
