Senior Accountant

SUMMARY:
Join a multi-national industry-leader as the Senior Accountant partnering with a newly appointed CFO to run accurate, compliant finance across a growing group. You’ll own end‑to‑end accounting, reporting and cash control while collaborating with a tight‑knit team. Ideal for a hands‑on accountant with 5 years commercial experience seeking ownership and impact in a fast‑moving environment.

POSITION INFO:

Analyse financial information and prepare monthly financial reports for management and statutory purposes
Manage full processing: suppliers/payments, debtors & creditors capture and reconciliations, bank and general ledger reconciliations
Run monthly payroll processes and post salary journals, maintain asset register and internal controls
Complete all regulatory returns, handle SARS matters and ensure compliance with SA legislation
Cash‑flow forecasting and control, intercompany loan reconciliations, assist with annual budgets and AFS prep
Maintain documentation, enforce procedures and respond to ad‑hoc finance queries across the business

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years commercial accounting experience OR minimum 5 years including completed SAIPA articles
Proven month‑end close, reconciliations, payroll exposure and cash‑flow management
Strong VAT and statutory submissions, comfortable engaging directly with SARS
Advanced Excel, Xero proficiency (SimplePay advantageous)
High accuracy, strong prioritisation and deadline discipline, proactive, organised and solutions‑driven
Confident working independently within a small team

Qualification:
BCom Accounting/Finance OR Accounting/Finance Diploma
