A Semiskilled boilermaker will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing various equipment. The responsibilities include casting and shaping pieces, testing, and upgrading equipment and structures to match environmental standards.
To be successful, you should be proficient in welding skills, be physically fit, and demonstrate good reading comprehension. Ultimately you should have the ability to detect and fix problems, excellent mechanical skills, and be able to work in confined spaces and at heights. Specifically, the incumbent will assist to service, replace, manufacture, construct, assemble and fit components for machinery, vehicles, installations and other apparatus or articles.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Installing equipment into facilities
- Reading blueprints / Drawings for location, position, and dimensions
- Completing maintenance documentation
- Organizing and assembling maintenance parts
- Shaping and fabricating parts
- Cleaning pressure vessel equipment
- Inspecting equipment for proper functioning
- Excellent Welding, grinding, cutting and fabrication skills
- Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
- Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees'' safety
- Experience in producing reports
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

- Good time-management skills
- Aid in budget development and ensure it is followed
- Adhoc function which may fall in the ambit of the job requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Formal Certificates and Qualifications
- MS Office
- 3Years work experience
- Technical and vocational education and training qualification
- Apprentice training
- Good mechanical aptitude
