SUMMARY:
Security Technical Manager

POSITION INFO:

A renowned Office Automation, Connectivity, Telecommunications and Security company in the Western Cape is currently seeking a Security Technical Manager to supervise and lead their team of Technicians that provide technical service-related support and installations and to ensure teamwork and customer satisfaction is driven.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Grade 12
• Strong technical, practical experience and knowledge of Security products such as CCTV, Biometrics, Access Control and IP Systems is ESSENTIAL
• Min. 5 years’ experience in a Management capacity is ESSENTIAL
• PSIRA Registered (Grade B) 
• Certified in Hikvsion CCTV Advantageous
• Relevant Tertiary qualification in a related technical field Advantageous
• Must be able to build site solutions i.e. complete site survey’s 
• MUST be willing to travel out to sites and be able to be on standby where necessary over weekends and after hours 
• Valid Driver’s license 
• Ability to speak English and Afrikaans advantageous with clear oral and written skills 

STAFF MANAGEMENT:

• Management of +-4 to 5 technicians across the Western Cape 
• Scheduling of the set-up and installation of CCTV, access control etc. 
• Organise workflow and ensure that employees understand their daily duties and which work has been delegated to them.
• Manage and maintain monthly standby roster and ensure after hour support of standby employees are in place.
• Assist in performance appraisals and any disciplinary issues and ensure it is accurately reported to the Service Department.
• Train technicians or arrange for training on new products or product updates.
• Set goals for performance deadlines in ways that comply with the company''s vision.
• Utilise KPI metrics to help guide team performance through coaching.

CUSTOMER SERVICE

• Attend to customer complaints and resolve or escalate issues accordingly and when necessary, recommend system improvements and/or replacements.
• Drive effective customer service and ensure quality of service is standardised across all technicians
• Create and maintain all relevant records, files and documentation required for seamless customer service 
• Set up customer training after installations where necessary.
• Measure, monitor and maintain customer service and satisfaction.
