Security Manager

SUMMARY:
The Security Manager will report to the Integrated Service Manager (I.S.M).

POSITION INFO:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adopt an initiative geared towards Integrated Operational Excellence

• Perform Risk Assessments and Security Service Surveys

• Establish a relationship with the Client

• Ensures that all personnel are operating and performing their duties according to the Site Job

• Attend regular Operations meetings

• Implement effective controls and monitoring Processes

• Carry out site surveys and compile reports for Clients

• Ensure efficient and effective day – to – day management of Site Security Personnel

• Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the allocated Operations team

• Ensures that all operational personnel are operating their duties according to the Site Job

Description

• Lead and manage the on-site training and recruitment functions of Operation personnel to

ensure that the contracts operational needs are met

• Attend weekly/monthly Client meetings and provide operational solutions that are Site specific

to the client for consideration, so as to ensure excellent service delivery

• Investigate on-site allegations and report on findings accordingly

• Ensure that all Sites are adequately covered with Security Personnel

• Ensure that deployments are efficiency actioned

• Ensure that Reports are relayed with irregularities on Sites

• Attend to incidents on sites and give feedback to the Control Room, Compliance Officer and Key

Accounts Manager

• Daily Site Inspections with relevant Chase entries pertaining to maintaining Operational

standards

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• PSIRA Grade B Registered

• Level of Secondary Education - Grade 10

• NQF 6 Formal Security Qualification is mandatory

• At least 5 accredited security training courses

• 10 years of direct Management experience in the Security Industry

• Knowledge of the Security Industry regulations including Operational and Client requirements
