Seafreight Export Operator

SUMMARY:
An experienced Seafreight Export Operator is needed with sea freight, perishables and export experience in the Aiport Industria area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

1. Grade 12
2. Supply Chain / Logistics qualification
3. Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ perishable export experience
4. Experience with various Incoterms

Duties:

• Handle customer export bookings, transport and queries.
• Develop customer relationships with existing customers.
• Assist in handling daily communication and correspondence to external customers.
• Existing customer retention and continued patronage
• Settlement of customer issues
• Maintain good relationships with stakeholders.
  Coordinate/liaise/work with stakeholders contact on operational activities, issue resolution, process execution and performance improvements according to corporate policy.

• Receive request from Client for container loading with specifications
• Contact shipping line for availability of space
• Confirm stack dates
• Make booking on internet or email
• Provide shipping line with the following criteria:

1. Exporter
2. Consignee
3. Temperature regime and Temperature code
4. Port of Loading
5. Port of Loading
6. Vent Setting ( if applicable )
7. Vessel name and Voyage
8. Number of Containers required
9. Commodity

• Once booking request sent wait for booking confirmation and booking number in order to arrange container collection
• Special markets require DAFF inspection – arrange 48 hours prior loading
• Update internal system with updates and changes
