Scientist - Classic Chemistry

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Scientist who will work as a Chief Investigator | Project leader in the research department of a Gauteng based organisation specialising in the metallurgical sector.

POSITION INFO:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry
• A SACNASP registration or equivalent
• 6-10 years’ experience in industry in chemistry field especially inorganic chemistry
• In-depth knowledge of analysis of inorganic samples by ICP-OES, ICP-MS, AA
• A minimum of 2 scientific publications or proven record of presentations at local and international conferences
• 7-10 years working experience in ISO 17025 accredited laboratory
• Implementation of ISO 17034 and ISO Guide 35

Some KPI:

• Manage and execute research projects
• Develop testing schemes
• Technical investigations of sample analysis and troubleshooting problems 
• Develop training material for junior staff
