SUMMARY:
Our client, in the Private Education Sector has an opportunity available for a School Bursar to join their finance team in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualification required:
  • BCom/BTech or similar degree preferably in Accounting or Financial Management
 Skills and experience required: 
  • Previous experience in a private school will be given preference
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role as a Bursar or Financial Administrator
  • Must be fully computer literate
  • Excellent communication with parents and pupils
Job description:
  • Report to Finance Manager
  • Assist FM and Principal with budgets and forecasts
  • Monitor expenditure
  • Manages and controls petty cash
  • Receive outstanding accounts
  • Receive and allocate payments accordingly
  • Financial reporting
  • Invoicing
  • Bank recons
  • Meet with parents to resolve billing and account queries
  • Submit invoices for approval and pay invoices
  • Assist with payroll
