Sales and Distribution Rep

SUMMARY:

Job Background
The Sales and Distribution team operates across all segments of the investor relations spectrum. The team provides advice on investor onboarding and retention matters as well as investor satisfaction. Whilst based in Cape Town, the team often works across the international landscape and the role may include an element of African-wide and international travel. We require an individual with a high level finance qualification with 6+ years sales and 2+ years of investor relations experience to work as part of a team of problem solvers.
 
Skills and responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
-        Conducting market related research, onboarding new Investors, and building relationships with them.
-        Utilising market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate Investor/client needs to ensure Investor/client satisfaction.
-        Conducting and actively seeking out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
-        Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail.
-        Anticipate stakeholder needs and develop and discuss potential solutions.
-        Build trust with teams and stakeholders through open and honest conversation.

POSITION INFO:

About the role
A typical assignment may include some or all of the following:
-        Create a business plan on approaching new investors and indicate targeted sales amounts for Y1,2 & 3.
-        Provide monthly report to management on rebate requests from investors.
-        Regular weekly updating of pipeline and distribution bi-monthly management discussion.
-        Ensure to successfully negotiate and secure new business from Ultra High Net Worth, Family Offices, and Private & Institutional Investors.
-        Assist in updating of marketing material for respective funds and overall firm material.
-        Assist in managing of website and distribution channels associated with online marketing, media and social media engagement.
-        Conduct market research for investor appetite for offerings and quarterly reports drafted to internal management.
-        Devise potential monthly marketing campaigns to pitch to Barak management in order to distribute offerings
-        Perform quarterly budgets for feedback to management of marketing budget (e.g. website upgrade, roadshows, conferences, other materials).
-        Assist in looking after UK and European current and prospective investors that are associated with Barak.  
-        Assist with monthly updating of key investor relationship and key focus areas for current relationships and prospective.
-        Form new databases for investor groups for relevant distribution (e.g. UK, Europe, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, Middle East).
-        Assist in quarterly investor Webinars with content relevant to applicable region.
 
Minimum requirements to be met:
-        High level degree in finance/sales.
-        A minimum of 6 years’ sales experience.
-        A minimum of 2 years’ investor relations experience.
-        A minimum of 2 years’ Sales Force experience.
-        A minimum of 3 years’ experience in setting up and hosting conferences.
