Sales Technician – Western Cape

A hospital furniture, equipment and device supplier to the private and public healthcare sectors seeks to fill a field technical position in its service division. The successful  applicant will report to the Service manager.

Responsibilities and duties:

Manage a territory

Inspecting, analysing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment.

Reading repair manuals.

Liaising with other clinical and engineering professional while maintaining relationships

Completing hospital audits.

Negotiate contracts

Meeting targets

Analysing data to make effective recommendations

Writing up reports, completing job cards and compiling preventative maintenance plans.

Handling of spare part inventory.

Repairing or replacing faulty equipment.

Providing labour and material cost estimates before starting a job.

Maintain market awareness

Facilitate end-user and technical training.

Qualification and Skills

A relevant technical qualification – certificate, trade test, diploma or degre

Experience as a technician.

A driver''s license.

Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields.

Ability to explain problems simply and clearly.

Ability to follow health and safety regulations.

Remuneration:  Basic

salary, with commission and cellphone allowance.
