Sales Representative x2

SUMMARY:
A packaging company seeks the assistance of a Sales Consultant. Plastic is the main focus and should be considered when applying.

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

• Be in possession of a marketing or sales qualification (Advantageous)

Requirements

• Have at least 1 – 2 years’ sales experience
• Sales experience in a Manufacturing environment is advantageous
• An understanding of the plastics/Packaging industry would be an advantageous
• Have a proven track record in sales
• Experienced in hard selling and cold calling
• An ability to see opportunities and grasp them
• An ability to build relationships quickly and effectively
• An ability to close deals efficiently and effectively.
• An ability to prepare and manage budgets and targets

Duties

• Sourcing of new business
• Interfacing with Production and Planning and Design departments
• Managing and achieving their Sales Budget monthly
• Identifying and exploiting new market opportunities and products
• Motivating resource allocations for any new opportunities
• Developing effective relationships with new and current Key Account Customers
• Monitoring competitor activity proactively
• Presenting professional price proposals in writing to all customers
• Ensuring that customer events are decided on and implemented
• Ensuring all customer requirements and complaints are communicated appropriately and dealt with timeously
• Communicating regularly with the company Executive regarding status of sales etc.
• Ensuring that absolute stock is managed effectively and that obsolescence costs are minimised
