Sales Representative (Wits ThirdStream)

Main purpose of the job:

• To secure new customers and to drive revenue growth for the business
• The incumbent will be required to extend the national footprint by canvassing business on a national platform
• Building and maintaining a sales pipeline will be an essential part of the role

Location:

• Durban

Key performance areas:

• Responsible for securing new clients that match the target client profile
• Ability to prospect effectively in order to secure appointments with qualified leads
• Manage pipeline to ensure conversion rate is applied and revenue generated to reach targets
• Plan & execute approaches & pitches to clients
• Understand ThirdStream’s differentiators & use them to promote ThirdStream in the market
• Ability to respond to and overcome client objections
• Comfortable with presenting to clients
• Ability to understand & answer RFP’s/Tenders
• Proven success in your sales ability and demonstrable full knowledge of the sales process
• Meet and exceed targets set in terms of contributing and generating revenue for the business
• Convert new relationships into repeat business
• Be able to identify prospects, conduct cold calls, quantify and close deals
• Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner
• Execute both short and long-term sales strategies
• Promote the full suite services within ThirdStream
• Assimilate market information and take part in the overall business development through weekly / monthly sales meetings
• Support Customer Service and work closely with Operations
• Work closely with Operations to implement new clients successfully, adhering to SOP, SLA, KPI, and RFQ requirements
• Create Client profiles highlighting key client information and needs
• Ensure weekly /monthly reports are up to date and submitted on time as required by business

Required minimum education and training:

• Grade 12, with relevant Degree/Diploma (Sales & Marketing preferable)

Required minimum work experience:

• Minimum of 5 years sales experience specific to services with evidence-based sales effectiveness
• Selling Skills Programmes advantageous
• Willing and able to travel
• Must have own vehicle

Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:

• Proficiency in general MS Office Suite with advanced understanding of Excel & PowerPoint
• Strong Selling, communication, analytical, presentation and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Ability to exercise discretion, work independently and as a part of a multidisciplinary team
• Must have a high level of customer service orientation.
• Must have a positive attitude with the willingness to continuously grow in a fast-paced environment
