SUMMARY:
A large agricultural manufacturer is seeking a dynamic Sales Representative for the KwaZulu Natal Midlands region.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum requirements for the role:

Must have a tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Marketing
Knowledge of maize, soya, sunflower, wheat, pastures and forage crops would be an advantage
Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills
The ability to work independently will be required
Must have a valid South African Drivers Licence and be willing to travel extensively away from home
Computer literacy in MS Word and Excel as well as E-mailing is essential

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Conducting farm visits and implementing effective call cycles to promote the company’s product range and image.
Dealing with clients regarding orders, deliveries and payment.
Providing excellent customer service throughout the season.
Building positive relationships to generate future sales, whilst maintaining and expanding the customer base.
Identifying market trends and determining regional sales system improvements.
Recommending product lines by identifying new product opportunities, surveying customer needs and tracking competitor activities.
Contributing towards regional sales information and providing recommendations for strategic plans and reviews.
Arranging and co-ordinating Farmer Days.
Planting strip trials; monitoring and capturing data.
Effectively managing debtor accounts.
Preparing and submitting reports to the Regional Sales Manager.

Salary package, including benefits, are highly negotiable depending on experience gained
