POSITION INFO:

Sales Representative

Port Elizabeth, South Africa

To market and sell the Clients brands effectively to achieve sales targets as set out in the annual plans for your territory. Achieve targets by understanding the needs and wants of the customer within the territory and by providing expert clinical advice and training to key customers.

1. Grow brands’ market share in your territory through achieving the desired call rate (usually 6 – 10 per day) for Hospitals, Old Age Homes, Day Clinics and other institutions as advised by your line manager.

2. Work closely with your partner representatives to drive wound care sales in institutions and nursing homes through training and providing expert clinical advice.

3. Plan and implement territory strategies and activities within agreed company portfolio strategies, budgets and timelines.

4. Present at customer and company meetings, forums and other areas as required to drive sales

5. Gather competitive and market trend information, feeding back to your line manager on a regular basis.

6. Utilise CRM fully to optimally manage your territory, completing activities as required by the company systems and requirements

7. Maintain knowledge of product portfolios through attending relevant training (self-development and CPD)

8. Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally to facilitate the development of profitable business and business development.

9. Perform any other reasonable duties that may arise as directed by the Management Team of PHZA

Degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences or similar

Minimum of 3 years sales experience,

Familiar with state and private hospital buying patterns

Advanced training abilities

Registered Nurse qualification highly preferred

Energetic, self-starter

Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales

Strong organisation and time management skills

Strong interpersonal relations and customer focus

Integrity, initiative and adaptability

Computer literacy; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CRM

Communication – communicates written and oral information concisely and persuasively; communicate own viewpoint succinctly and facilitates discussions to achieve clear outcomes. Excellent presentation skills

Customer focus – develops positive relationships with customers for the long-term benefit of the business

Drive for results - is pro-active and uses initiative to achieve objectives. Overcomes obstacles to maximise personal contribution. Appropriate plans time to deliver

Knows the business – understands the healthcare market within which Clients products are sold with a solid understanding of government healthcare tenders and private tenders. Upholds the high standards of working a medical device business including ISO13485 and the MDR as it applies to wound care products.

Sets vision and strategy - creating a vision for the future of Clients Products in their territory. Establish and commits to sales strategies to accomplish agreed goals

Planning, organising and prioritising – plans work activities, reviews and prioritises as necessary to achieve high standards and meet deadlines.

Team working – works with others across the organisation to accomplish goals and identify and resolve problems

Salary R18 – 20 K per month basic + car + home office + other benefits.
