SUMMARY:
Our client in the Manufacturing Sector is looking to fill the role of a Sales Representative at their offices in Gqeberha/ Port Elizabeth

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sell pavers into the PE and surrounding market
CSF’s
  • Know the internal workings of the business as a whole
  • Top 10 Customer
  • Products, Experience, Understanding
  • Report & Share
  • Have an interest in the influence you have and what makes this.
  • Describe your goals and put a timeline to them of when you want to achieve them. Follow them through.
  • Discuss your learning, difficulties and possible solutions in your daily reports and in meetings with your manager.
  • Demonstrate that you can work within our structure so that the structure as a whole works to influence the market in a constructive and value adding way = Team player.
  • Know your Sales, Orderbook, pipeline, top 10 customers by heart.
Know the internal workings of the business as a whole
  • Be able to work at Front desk (including the use of Pastel).
  • Know the roll of your colleagues and help them to achieve their goal.
  • Understand the function of each department and their needs
  • Have regular meetings with your Junior Representative
Top 10 Customer
  • Have a list of your most important top 10 customers.
  • Get to know all their sites, with the relevant site managers on each site.
  • Build strong relationships with site managers and contract managers/directors.
  • Have a calling cycle that ensures that you top 10 customer get the attention they need.
  • Meet with their top management to discuss reports with them.
  • Capture everything on CRM: Customer cards, up to date projects & forward planning.
Product, Customer experience & Understanding
Product
  • Know the products, installation and relevant SANS standards.
  • Deal with quality complaints in conjunction with the (quality) manager.
Customer Experience
  • Look after your customers in every possible way to ensure they receive the best quality and service.
  • Know the market definition and be able to interact from any point competently and constructively.
  • Know the Sales Strategy, Sales organogram, processes & procedures intimately.
  • Pro-actively engage customers in your area with new and specialized products and support to grow your influence and productivity.
  • Work closely with your Junior Rep so that the customer feels held and the we care about a bigger portion of the market.
  • Sell & follow through.
  • Know our competitors and their products.
  • Maintain your customer list, lead register, transport schedule and order book.
Understanding
  • Provide technical support & product training.
  • Understand their business so you are able to help them to shift paradigms.
  • Help them to make the right decision so the end result is as per their expectation.
Report and share.
  • Share all your bigger challenges & positive experiences with your sales manager.
  • Share your sales, orderbook & pipeline
  • Share market feedback related to products, service, pricing, opportunities, threats, competitor info, your customers & propose new strategies
  • Keep the bigger picture in mind at all times when you use our CRM system to share information. The information you capture needs to be beneficial for the whole.
  • Daily activities/Admin: Sufficiently accurate order book, Transport schedule, Quotes, Overdue accounts & Credit limits, Credit applications, CRM, Planning, call report (via CRM) & reflection.
