Sales Representative - Optical

Salary: R10k + Commission

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for Sales Representatives for the Optometry sector. Representatives will be selling eyewear (portfolio of reputable optical frames) to Optometrists nationally across South Africa and will be the principal point of contact between our business (25+ years and growing) and our valued customers. Positions are available in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, East London, Nelspruit and Bloemfontein.

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric; Own Transport & Valid Drivers License
• 2-4 Years sales experience (if internal, must be self motivated to make the jump to external)
  • Sales person by nature (closing deals, signing new business, working from leads and referrals essential)
  • Enjoy travelling, positive & energetic energy
  • Able to speak and communicate in English & Afrikaans
  • Passionate about building and nurturing customer relationships
  • Work well under pressure
  • Adaptable, teachable and trainable – ability to mirror this aptitude with client’s
  • Available positions throughout Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape and North West.

Duties:

• Services existing accounts, obtains orders, sell products and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
• Servicing existing client base, and grow market in designated areas
• Professional, well presented, excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Outgoing personality, Self starter – not afraid of rejection
• Must be able to upsell and expand customer base
• Training on current and new brands will be provided
• Takes initiative, innovative, creative - thinks outside the box when it comes to marketing, sales and willing to go the extra mile
• Salary R10,000, Comm 10% from R1.00, Expense Card
• Sales targets R250,000 – R450,000
• Total possible earning R35,000 – R55,000.
