Sales Representative (DIY Accessories)

Areas to Cover: Pretoria and surrounding areas

Salary: R32 000CTC plus Petrol Card.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To promote the respective brands and products in the region
  • Quarterly contribution towards the board report
  • Establish new accounts by planning & organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
  • To indirectly and directly grow sales through the region by providing excellent customer relationship building, support and channel offerings
  • To fully understand the customers dynamic and to work with this dynamic in creating long term relationships and brand support
  • To manage and control expenditure for the region and for respective customer groups
  • To effectively communicate new products & solutions into the region and ensure customer buy-in
  • To liaise with other departments internally regarding managing product supply, sales support and technical aspects, with a view of customer delight
  • To identify and secure new customers within the region
  • To take ownership of the region and ensure a strong and professional business relationship
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Develop/implement a growth strategy focusing on specific market segments in the inland region.
  • Sell and achieve annual target
  • Source, negotiate and sign new business
  • Deal with clients professionally at all times
  • Provide feedback to Sales Manager on weekly basis
  • Liaise with Sales Manager where necessary
  • Promote /sell / secure orders existing & prospective customers via a relationship-based approach
  • Market products/ services to existing / potential customers & assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory / market segment to generate new business for the organization
  • Make telephone calls & in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers & information to determine their potential
  • Develop clear and effective written proposals / quotations for current and prospective customers
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints
  • Identify advantages and compare organization products/services
  • Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Keep abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • A Minimum of a Matric
  • Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience in Business
  • A Minimum of 5 years sales experience
  • Proven track record and ability in building and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • General Industrial Sales Specialist
  • Knowledge of printing processes (advantageous)
