Sales Representative

We have a position available for a Sales Rep in the Gauteng North area in the Petroleum industry, to maintain and grow current busines, identify and respond to new business opportunities pro-actively as to ensure growth, and set a high standard for excellent customer service and for the brand.

Requirements:

• Matric certificate
• Tertiary Sales and Marketing diploma/degree advantageous
• 3-5 years’ experience within the petroleum industry
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Pro-active, go-getter, self motivated, confident
• Knowledge of petroleum products and specifications
• Aware of industry regulations and pricing structures (SANS)
• Willingness to travel
• Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications (Word / Excel)

Responsibilities: 

• Liaising with clients on orders
• Placing orders as received from clients and arranging payment of orders
• New client service
• Identifying new business opportunities
• Cold calling experience and proven track record of success herein
• Self-motivated and target driven
• Building and maintaining excellent client relationships
• Able to negotiate and close deals confidently
• Facilitate achievement of agreed targets in the region and always driving sales performance
• Report to Management, changes in strategic direction, structures, and operating models in order ensure transparent communication and effective operation within the region
• Identify and manage creation of new business opportunities for the region to expand the market
• Ensure that all operations are in line with the company’s policies
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts
• Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
• Accountability for GP margins and targets

Salary: basic + Commission
