Sales Representative

Our client, a leading stockist, and distributor of both specialty and commodity raw materials / chemicals, to a variety of industries, is seeking to employ a seasoned Sales Representative at their PE office.

Sales territory includes Mossel Bay to East London, Queenstown, Cradock and Graaff Reinet.

Furthermore, our client is seeking a Sales Representative who will not only proactively seek out new business but grow their existing revenue generated from an established client base. Therefore an experienced sales representative is sought who has a proven success track record in sales and customer relationship management.

Overview:

• Responsible for an existing client base
• Responsible to source and secure new clients business
• Responsible to identify and win back lost business
• Responsible to maintain current sales
• Responsible to find and secure new products that have not been sold by the client in the past (sales aspect – purchasing aspect done by head office)
• Some reporting / administrative requirements
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience (experience in supplying chemicals/food ingredients would be advantageous)
• Required to travel a few days each month
• Minimum matric and drivers license (degree/diploma would be advantageous)
• Any other reasonable request from the Regional Manager

As this lockdown period may be extended indefinitely – the successful candidate also needs to be able to hold meetings and convert sales using technological tools like Microsoft teams, zoom, etc.
