SUMMARY:
Our Client is looking for a Sales Representative in the Access Control Industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Industry: Access Control (Doors, Locks, Gates)

Area/Location: Johannesburg (Responsible for Gauteng & North West)

Purpose of the Role:

Represent our company’s products and services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding and following with consumer research to identify how our solutions meet the needs
Meet weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets through the successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
Generate leads and build relationships by planning and organizing a daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets
Develop and implement territory action plan through comprehensive data analysis, and adjust sales techniques based on interactions and results in the field

Principle Responsibilities:

Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure exceptional service and identification of potential new sales opportunities
Identify appropriate prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage sales cycle to close new business in all service categories offered
Possess in-depth product knowledge and be able to conduct demos and relay objection handling
Prepare professional proposals
Achieve sales goals by assessing current client needs and following a defined selling process with potential buyers, often utilizing product demos and presentations
Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
To maximize the listings of all Yale category products (locks, padlocks, safes, alarms, door furniture, Smart Electronics, etc.) through identifying opportunities to expand category sales
To prepare proposals & co-ordinate the implementation of Yale concept displays & planograms
Distribute marketing & POS material; provide training & merchandising support at store level
To evaluate displays & merchandising and assist with improvements on an ongoing basis
To provide support with in-store promotions and other sales activities to drive business growth (this may include representation at stores over weekends & public holidays)
To perform a merchandising service to ensure the brand is given a high standard of exposure at the store level
To update pricing and maintain customer master listings at store level together with the timeous implementation of price increases
Assessment & collection of valid returns and repairs in accordance with the Yale returns policy
Any other activities and new initiatives which enhance the development & growth of the Yale brand

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Driver’s license
Computer literacy (outlook and excel)
Ability to work under pressure and travel extensively. You will be required to sleep out frequently.
Vehicle in good working order
Good knowledge of the geographical area
Good knowledge of the retail security industry
Technical acumen (Basic networking knowledge, understanding of jargon & comfortable with installation & set-up of programs / Apps eg pairing devices with IP settings)

Required travel: 61-100% travel.
