Sales Manager (JB2033)
Remote
R30 000.00 per month + Commission
Duration: Permanent

One of fastest growing news publishers in South Africa with over 6 million monthly readers looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing an innovative, growth focused commercial strategy in line with company goals and objectives. You will play a fundamental role in developing future growth, and provide vision, direction, and leadership. You will be required to deliver targets as a team and also individually.

Minimum Requirements:
Matric
Appropriate bachelor's degree
5+ years’ experience in a similar role in the digital media industry
Strategic thinking
Strong leadership skills
Strong commercial acumen
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented and highly motivated individual
Good time management and organisational skills
Entrepreneurial attitude and a good team player
Excellent negotiation and sales skills
Ability to develop sales strategies, tactics and techniques based on the feedback of the client and market environment
Ability to effectively manage a team
Strong training, presentation, and reporting skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, plan, and implement commercial strategies
Create detailed sales plans to achieve goals
Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the sales team
Assist with sales revenue budget setting and forecasting
Deliver team and own sales targets
Through market and competitor research and analysis, identify, evaluate, propose, and implement new commercial opportunities and/or projects
Develop successful and strategic relationships with key clients, partners, and agencies
Implement and oversee client retention and acquisition strategies
Develop and oversee a lead generation process
Oversee pricing and discount strategies
Ensure that all client communication and proposals are in line with company guidelines and of the highest quality standards
Work collaboratively across departments
Develop best practice policies around client/agency/territory allocations
Develop and agree marketing plans with the Operations & Finance Director
Track, measure and analyse performance of the sales team against KPIs
Oversee annual reviews of the sales team
Agree and execute staff development plans.
