JOB DESCRIPTION:

About the Position:

This is position a sales executive position requiring goods sales and business development skills. The incumbent will need to create sales and relationships predominantly in the retail franchisee and independent retail , outlet markets.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and call on key markets and customers
  • Identifies correct product offering and formulates proposals - large capital outlays for clients
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Dealing with owners, buyers, engineers, store managers and regional managers of major retail chains
  • Deals with requests for quotations and information requirements
  • Ensures after sales service levels are well maintained
  • Identifying short- and long-term growth opportunities
  • Keeping up to date with market trends and competitor activity
  • Achieving sales budget requirements

  • Persistent and skilled at selling and negotiating
  • Peoples person/sales orientation
  • Entrepreneurial drive
  • Able to sell and close the deal regarding capital goods
  • Business development/setup experience
  • Experience in working across functions to improve customer service
  • Able to manage time and projects effectively
  • Ability to think through and solve problems methodically
  • High degree of personal integrity and professionalism

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • A university/college degree/diploma from an accredited institution preferred but not mandatory
  • Minimum 1 – 3 years of strategic sales experience in capital goods space in in a business-to business sales environment would be preferable
  • Previous project or account management
  • Experience in the retail environment would be an advantage
  • PC proficiency
  • This position requires travel within the Gauteng region
  • Own vehicle essential
  • Drivers license essential
