Sales Consultant

Our client in the furniture/homeware retail industry is seeking an energetic Sales Consultant to join their team, based in Port Elizabeth.

This position is responsible for providing an excellent service to all company clients. The successful candidate will be required to use excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills to grow their sales pipeline.

Requirements:

• Grade 12/ Matric.
• Relevant diploma/ degree is advantageous e.g., Interior Design.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle essential.
• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience.
• Previous experience in consumer-centric environment.
• Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
• Comfortable working with different systems and technology, including POS and stock management systems.
• Must be available to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays.
• Passionate about décor and the company’s furniture and homeware products.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Consistently meet and exceed monthly and YTD, Net Sales Target, and Homeware Target (% of Net Sales Target).
• Drive new sales opportunities through a variety of innovative methods.
• Customer/ Brand Management 360°.
• Drive exceptional customer service with full accountability for customer engagement and communication.
• Assist clients and ensure that their needs are identified and met.
• Act as the single point of contact for the client.
• Ensure that care instructions are explained.
• Maintain general housekeeping and ensure that all items are priced and displayed correctly.
• Ensure training compliance in line with company policy.
• Operational Management.
• Ensure that processes detailed below are executed efficiently and as per company policy:
  • Sales Orders.
  • Account Management.
  • SR Management.
  • Stock take.
