Sales Consultant

SUMMARY:
Our client, a well-established company within the cement/concrete manufacturing sector, is looking for an experienced Sales Consultant to join their team in Carletonville.

POSITION INFO:

Job Description:

The main purpose of the position will be new business development, achieving sales targets and maintaining sales margins.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• New business development
• Providing a high level of customer services (including visits to customers)
• Developing and maintaining a detailed database of all clients
• Keeping up with market requirements, needs and trends
• Liaising with various departments to ensure correct product quantities, delivery and quality
• Promoting the company products and the use thereof
• Seeking new markets for existing and new products
• Sales reporting

Educational Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Relevant Tertiary Sales/Marketing qualification advantageous

Experience and Skills Required:

• 3 – 5 years sales experience within the paving/manufacturing industry
• Proven track record of target achievement
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and administrative skills
• Ability to self-manage
• Results oriented, highly motivated and target focused
• Ability to build good relationships and partnerships with clients and management
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle
• Must be computer literate (MS Office)
• JDE procurement system experience advantageous
• Must be willing to travel extensively around Gauteng and surrounds and stay overnight if required
