The organisation utilises Zoho CRM and SharePoint to manage customer information, sales activity, reporting, and business development initiatives, with a focus on maintaining accurate data and supporting targeted sales and marketing campaigns.

THE ROLE: SALES & MARKETING ASSISTANT

The Sales & Marketing Assistant will support the sales function through lead generation, CRM administration, market research, sales coordination, and reporting. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate customer and prospect data, supporting sales activities, assisting with customer service tasks, and providing insights that contribute to business development and sales performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and identify new business opportunities and qualified leads.
• Build lead lists using LinkedIn, databases, and other sources.
• Maintain and update customer and prospect information in Zoho CRM.
• Ensure CRM data is accurate, complete, and free of duplicates.
• Support customer and market segmentation for targeted campaigns.
• Conduct market and competitor research and provide insights.
• Assist the sales team with administration, scheduling, follow-ups, and document preparation.
• Help prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations.
• Track sales pipeline activity and lead follow-up within the CRM.
• Compile reports on lead generation, CRM quality, and market intelligence.
• Maintain sales records and documentation in SharePoint and Zoho.
• Identify trends and opportunities from CRM data and provide recommendations.
• Attend team meetings and support business improvement projects.
• Assist with general customer service tasks when required.

ABOUT YOU

• Experience in sales support, lead generation, marketing coordination, or a similar role.
• Familiarity with CRM systems (Zoho experience advantageous).
• Ability to conduct research and analyse data.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
• Understanding of B2B sales and lead generation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Organised and able to manage priorities.
• Comfortable building relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Friendly, enthusiastic, and willing to take ownership.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
