SUMMARY:
Safety Officer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Ensuring compliance to current occupational Health & Safety legislation and requirements by on-going monitoring of current processes against the OHS Act.
Promotes safe working conditions to minimise workplace injuries and conduct incident investigations
Identify, implement, and control adequate systems to limit exposure to hazardous substances, flammable substances, electrical, noise and manual handling risks
Update management on the efficiency of the OHS site Plans daily and ensure that monthly reports are compiled
Regular communication with management regarding progress of work and any technical problems experienced.

Requirements:

SACPCMP Registered as Safety Officer

SAMTRAC/NEBOSH

Fall Protection Plan Developer

Accident Investigation Level 3

First aid L1

Fire Fighting L1

Ability to work without supervision

5+ years in similar industry
