SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

POSITION INFO:

The Systems Administrator will be responsible for installations, upgrades and monitoring of hardware and software. The ideal candidate will have a flexible, problem-solving attitude with an ability to communicate and collaborate with peers and subordinates to maintain our company servers and databases.

Primary responsibilities:

• Supporting all internal users
• Effectively resolving all PC and laptop hardware & software problems
• Ensure the functionality of printers and printing functions
• Ensure the quality and integrity of all software and that all system requirements are adhered to
• Deploy and configure SQL databases
• Set up email accounts and workstations
• Migrating all our servers to AWS
• Ensure that all system requirements are identified
• Ensure that the latest anti-virus patches are downloaded
• Ensure the installation of relevant Microsoft patch upgrades
• Assist in the implementing of various IT projects
• Ensure the tracking and control of all hardware, as well as the monitoring of software installation and upgrades
• Ensure that all hardware is asset tagged
• Ensure that all hardware is recorded and updated in the fees
• Conduct audits to verify the allocation of IT hardware Data Back-up & Restoration
• To ensure the reduction of risk associated with data loss and effectively recovering and restoring any lost data
• Ensure the back-up of server data
• Ensure the effective operation of all the company’s IT Systems
• Management of Office 365

Requirements:

• Matric
• Information Technology Diploma or Degree
• 4 – 6 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator, preferably in the payment solutions or similar industry.
• Advanced knowledge and experience working with SQL
• Proficiency in cloud and AWS architecture and its configuration
