SUMMARY:
STUDENT ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR: EAST LONDON CAMPUS REF NO: 016. Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the above-mentioned permanent position in the Student Accounts Section:

POSITION INFO:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:
·         Senior Certificate plus 3 Year National Diploma / Degree in Commerce preferably in Accounting / Finance.
·         3 Years’ experience in a student’s finance division at a Higher Education Institution
·         Advanced knowledge of ITS (student system).
·         Good interpersonal as well as sound communication skills
·         Ability to work independently and be computer literate
 
Responsibilities Include:
·         Liaise with the Senior Student Accounts Officer  in relation to the printing of fee statements on a bimonthly basis
·         Keep our debt collectors up to date with the payments received from old debtors
·         Ensure compliance with available budget
·         Ensure that staff attend to students enquiries within 48 hours of query being received
·         Undertake on-going communication to students relating to all aspects of student income and to ensure the prompt and accurate despatch of Statements
·         Ensure that processes, policies and procedures are adhered to
·         Design and develop work flow processes  and submit to the HOD: Students Accounts
·         Develop a customer survey which will assist the department in improving its service that it offers to our clients
